Responsibilities
- Review product requirements and create positive and negative test scenarios for explicit and implicit specifications.
- Develop and execute test procedures, test cases, and automated test scripts.
- Perform white-box testing, analyze and debug project issues, and support test optimization.
- Participate in advanced test automation development and document technical knowledge and experience.
- Follow software testing processes, support project milestones, and assist with estimation and risk identification.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to complete embedded HVAC projects.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in embedded software testing.
- Expertise in software testing fundamentals and understanding of 8-, 16-, and 32-bit microcontrollers.
- Experience with analog and digital electronic schematics, circuit boards, and component datasheets.
- Knowledge of residential HVAC systems and strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Understanding of UART, I2C, SPI, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee, and TCP/IP protocols.
- Experience with Bugzilla, TestLink, ReviewBoard, and different sniffing tools.
- Basic understanding of C and C++ programming.
- B.E., M.Sc., M.E., or M.Tech in Electronics, Electronics and Telecommunications, or Instrumentation.
- ISTQB Foundation certification is preferred.
- LabVIEW knowledge or experience is an advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication, lateral thinking, and collaboration skills.
