Responsibilities
- Review product functional and low-level requirements, system requirements, and system architecture.
- Develop software test strategies, test plans, test protocols, and test cases for integration, module, and functional testing.
- Execute test cases, report test results, identify root causes, and drive discovered issues to closure.
- Document embedded medical software product test lifecycle artifacts.
- Create automated verification test scripts and test embedded software using software test frameworks.
- Test RTOS, RT-Linux, Linux-based HMI devices, 32-bit ARM or RISC-V platforms, communications interfaces, and analog and digital I/O.
- Use hardware test simulators and hardware test setups, troubleshoot equipment, and analyze debugger logs.
- Partner with global product development and test teams to deliver high-quality products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering or a related field specified.
- 5+ years of professional experience with system engineering and the embedded software test lifecycle.
- Experience with software validation and verification for embedded software products, RTOS or RT-Linux platforms, or multithreaded environments.
- Experience with 32-bit ARM or RISC-V microcontrollers and microprocessors.
- Experience testing UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, and analog and digital inputs and outputs.
- Experience with Linux-based HMI device testing and Linux shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience with software test frameworks and automated verification test scripts.
- Experience with hardware test simulators or hardware test setups, multimeters, oscilloscopes, flashing tools, debuggers, and debug log analysis.
- Experience with requirements management, bug tracking, and version control tools.
- Required experience with Embedded C or C++, strong Python scripting, and test automation tools.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, ability to work independently and in teams, and flexibility to work with global team schedules.
