Responsibilities

  • Design and implement reliable, reproducible, and fast systems for scaling research CI.
  • Build accessible development environments and tools for researchers.
  • Design solutions for large-scale data and maintainable data pipelines.
  • Optimize container images, library compilation times, and Python environments.
  • Support infrastructure through troubleshooting, monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability.
  • Collaborate with researchers, document platform capabilities, and improve their daily workflows.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar DX, DevOps, or SRE role.
  • Proficiency in software development, including Python or Go, and programming best practices.
  • Experience with site reliability practices such as root cause analysis, production troubleshooting, and on-call rotations.
  • Exposure to infrastructure management, including CI/CD, containerization, orchestration, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability.
  • Ability to apply a technical product mindset and diagnose poor adoption.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, ownership, autonomy, and collaboration skills.
  • Bazel or equivalent experience, strong knowledge of the Python ecosystem, GPU workload familiarity, and experience working in fully remote environments are advantageous.
