Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of scalable enterprise full-stack applications.
- Build distributed, data-intensive applications and microservices using Java, Scala, Spring Boot, Akka, and event-driven architecture.
- Develop and integrate real-time data processing pipelines using Kafka.
- Design resilient cloud-native systems using Azure, AWS, or GCP, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor.ai, GitHub Copilot, and Replit.
- Ensure coding, security, performance, and DevOps engineering best practices.
- Mentor and manage developers while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Participate in client discussions, requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and solution design.
- Drive Agile delivery practices and contribute to scalable system design and performance optimization.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Java and Scala development, with Scala experience building distributed data-intensive applications mandatory.
- Strong Java experience, including Java 8, Java 11, or later, and expertise in Scala development.
- Experience with Spring Boot, microservices, functional and reactive programming, and scalable distributed backend systems.
- Expertise in Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL; MongoDB and Cassandra are preferred.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP, plus Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native services.
- Hands-on exposure to AI-powered coding tools such as Cursor.ai, GitHub Copilot, Replit, or equivalent.
- Frontend experience with Angular or React is preferred.
- Strong leadership, team management, communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Client-facing experience and prior experience in banking, financial services, or capital markets are preferred.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
