Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Proton Drive sync SDK for Windows, macOS, and Linux desktop clients.
- Manage synchronization between local and remote state and implement application internals, including cryptographic operations.
- Build resilient applications with graceful degradation and privacy-preserving logs and metrics.
- Invest in test automation and improve software delivery productivity.
- Configure GitLab workflows, deployments, monitoring, alerting, gradual rollouts, and operational incident response.
- Collaborate with backend engineers on changes needed for the desktop experience.
Requirements
- Strong experience developing with .NET.
- Strong experience with concurrent, multi-threaded programming.
- Experience owning and maintaining large software components.
- Working knowledge of file systems and Git.
- Experience with gradual rollouts and metrics, monitoring, and alerting frameworks.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field of study.
- Desktop application development experience is optional.
