Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy state-of-the-art planning and control techniques for manipulation and navigation.
- Drive the technical approach with an emphasis on real-world robotic deployments.
- Research and develop real-time, safe, and efficient trajectory-generation methods for robot manipulators and mobile robots.
- Develop scalable planning representations using classical and learned techniques.
- Use GPUs to generate and evaluate trajectories at scale.
- Enable real-time closed-loop control using classical algorithms and machine learning.
- Develop simulation techniques and metrics to benchmark and evaluate performance.
- Collaborate with other teams across the company.
Requirements
- M.S. or Ph.D. in robotics, vision, computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or another engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience developing planning or control solutions for robotics applications such as manipulation and navigation.
- Experience with trajectory generation, optimization, sampling, cost or reward shaping, and control.
- Experience with robotics simulation infrastructure such as Isaac Sim or Gazebo.
- Proficiency with C++ and comfort with Python.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks with light supervision and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
