Responsibilities

Deploy and support the autonomy stack directly on robots at active construction sites.
Troubleshoot robot behavior in the field, perform root cause analysis, and drive fixes into the codebase.
Tune and calibrate LiDAR, cameras, and IMU systems for site-specific conditions.
Build and maintain remote monitoring, telemetry, and diagnostic tools.
Translate field feedback into engineering priorities while coordinating across hardware, software, and site operations teams.
Document field deployments, create SOPs, support operator training, and facilitate site hand-offs.
Improve the autonomy stack and optimize system performance and reliability under real-world constraints.

Degree in computer science, robotics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or another engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
At least 2 years of hands-on experience deploying robotics or autonomous-systems software in real-world or field environments.
Experience with ROS2 and across perception, planning, and control systems.
Proficiency in Python and C++.
Ability to troubleshoot on site, perform root cause analysis, and work under time pressure in unstructured environments.
Strong communication skills and experience liaising across hardware, software, operations, or customer-facing teams.
Willingness to travel regularly to outdoor job sites and take ownership with light supervision.
Legal authorization to work in the US.

In-person role in the San Francisco Bay Area with regular travel to active job sites throughout the US, commonly in outdoor environments.
