Responsibilities
- Own ML end to end across applied production work, novel research, and production deployment.
- Build cut-time models predicting cut durations based on various factors.
- Develop nesting scoring and optimization models to enhance operational efficiency.
- Create demand intelligence models to inform procurement decisions.
- Implement NLP features for sales order parsing and customer communication.
- Design vision and OCR systems for cert package automation and dimensional inspection.
- Ship features end to end, including model, API, UI, and deployment.
- Build data infrastructure and feature pipelines for future ML work.
- Collaborate with the software team to integrate ML into existing systems.
- Engage with operators and stakeholders to gather training data and insights.
Requirements
- 5+ years of ML engineering experience with production models.
- Strong technical foundation in applied ML and production deployment.
- Proficient in Python and modern ML frameworks like PyTorch or JAX.
- Experience with MLOps, model monitoring, and retraining.
- Skilled in collecting and structuring training data from real-world systems.
- A builder mindset, prioritizing shipping working models over perfection.
- High attention to quality in models and datasets.
- Customer and user-focused, ensuring models meet real needs.
