- Apply domain-oriented design, system design, and low-level design to evaluate dependencies, trade-offs, failure modes, scalability, cost, and durability.
- Contribute directly to Spark-based data pipelines and processing jobs alongside platform engineering work.
- Build AI, GenAI, and agentic-powered platform capabilities, including developer tooling, workflow automation, agentic services, and AI-assisted operational tooling.
- Own service reliability, scalability, observability, service-level objectives, distributed tracing, alerting, and incident response.
- Guide architecture across microservices, event-driven systems, API design, and enterprise integrations.
- Partner with data engineers, data scientists, and ML engineers on platform primitives for data pipelines, feature stores, and model-serving paths.
- Establish engineering standards through architecture, design, code, and production-readiness reviews.
- Set technical direction, mentor engineers, and influence broader platform engineering standards without a management title.
- Evaluate and adopt platform, cloud, and AI or agentic technologies where they improve reliability, productivity, or business value.
