Responsibilities
- Design and build autonomous agentic AI workflows with multi-step reasoning, tool use, task execution, human-in-the-loop guardrails, and MCP integrations.
- Architect and implement LLM-based applications for NLP use cases such as intelligent search, conversational interfaces, and advisory support.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for distributed applications while meeting latency, throughput, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
- Implement observability, monitoring, and feedback loops to track agent behavior, detect hallucinations, and improve reliability.
- Build scalable data pipelines and processing workflows for structured and unstructured data supporting LLM-based features and real-time client interactions.
- Drive adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted software development practices and SDLC toolchain capabilities across teams.
- Partner with product, design, and business stakeholders to translate client needs into scalable AI-driven technical solutions.
- Ensure client-facing solutions meet financial services security, privacy, regulatory, data protection, model governance, and responsible AI standards.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and related workflows.
- Ability to define team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security, including coaching senior engineers and leads.
- Experience building agentic AI systems with multi-step reasoning, tool orchestration, autonomous task execution, and guardrails.
- Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar agentic AI orchestration libraries.
- Strong programming proficiency in Python or Java and experience building AI/ML-powered applications.
- Experience designing and developing client-facing applications with emphasis on usability, performance, and reliability at scale.
- Experience developing microservices, integrating NLP or LLM models into production applications, and using AWS or Azure for AI/ML deployment, data processing, and infrastructure management.
- Understanding of SDLC, agile practices, application resiliency, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and complex stakeholder and regulatory environments.
- Preferred experience with both Java and Python.
