Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise reporting and analytics solutions for a greenfield project.
- Architect and implement software systems using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and modern technologies.
- Drive build-versus-buy evaluations, proof-of-concept delivery, tool evaluation, and greenfield project leadership.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver business-aligned solutions.
- Drive adoption of GenAI, Copilot, and AI-assisted development practices for automation, reporting, code completion, code review, and automated test generation.
- Mentor and lead a high-performing engineering team while promoting technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, communicate project status, and proactively address risks and challenges.
- Promote automated testing and reliable software delivery practices.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and champion relevant adoption.
Requirements
- 10–15 years of software engineering experience with strong full-stack development experience and Java as the primary skill.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience would generally be expected for the required skills.
- Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, enterprise application development, data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and modern software development practices.
- Experience building and scaling enterprise-level applications, preferably in cloud environments.
- Proficiency with additional languages and technologies such as Python, SQL, and databases, with the ability to learn new technology stacks.
- Experience using GenAI, Copilot, or AI-based tools for software development, automation, reporting, automated testing, or code review.
- Experience leading and motivating high-performing teams and managing stakeholders in a global environment.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, business acumen, and innovation skills.
- Prior experience in finance, investment banking, or related domains is mandatory.
- Experience with automated testing and testing frameworks.
- Experience with Angular or React is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Apache Airflow, OLAP tools, and workflow automation is desirable.
