Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical architect and help drive business implementation and cloud-ready architecture.
  • Build and run complex, distributed, scalable, fault-tolerant, observable, available, and testable services.
  • Design and implement end-to-end components using event-driven architecture, microservices, messaging, databases, and cloud-ready deployment practices.
  • Lead delivery of new features, own complex problems, and mentor junior technologists while collaborating with senior stakeholders and external teams.
  • Produce architecture diagrams and design blueprints and communicate technical decisions across the team.
  • Develop and maintain software solutions supporting exposure and collateral management business needs.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of relevant experience is generally expected, with the role specification also requesting 9+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology with a computer science background from a top-tier university.
  • Proficiency in Java 8 or above and familiarity with Spring Boot, messaging, distributed caches, JSON, XML, and related application frameworks and transport technologies.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux, shell or Bash scripting, relational or NoSQL databases, and SQL DDL/DML operations.
  • Experience designing and implementing end-to-end components of larger architectures and handling functional complexity.
  • Experience with automated unit and integration testing using JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with release practices including blue-green and canary deployments and feature-flag-based releases.
  • Python, Perl, and JavaScript scripting experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, adaptability, ownership, and willingness to learn the business.
  • Preferred experience with Kafka streams, global K-Tables, KSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Hazelcast, Redis, ELK, Grafana, AppDynamics, C#, Angular, and React.
  • Preferred experience developing enterprise-scale n-tier applications in the financial domain and working with instrumentation, telemetry, and observability.
