Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud-ready, scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant software systems.
  • Develop and maintain highly observable, available, and testable services for business needs.
  • Act as a technical architect and contribute to end-to-end architecture and strategic integration initiatives.
  • Own technical problems and lead delivery of new features while remaining hands-on with development.
  • Mentor junior technologists and collaborate with senior technologists and external teams.
  • Produce architecture diagrams, design blueprints, and other high-quality software development lifecycle artifacts.
  • Adapt across multiple technologies and disciplines while delivering timely, high-quality solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with a Computer Science background from a top-tier university.
  • At least 9 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 6 years of relevant experience generally expected for the role.
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, software engineering practices, event-driven architecture, and microservices.
  • Proficiency in Core Java 8 or above, with knowledge of commonly used APIs, transports, and frameworks.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux systems, shell or Bash scripting, relational or NoSQL databases, and SQL DDL/DML operations.
  • Experience designing and implementing end-to-end components of larger architectures and simplifying functional complexity.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, blue-green and canary deployments, and feature-flag-based releases.
  • Experience writing automated unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience or knowledge of Kafka, streams, global K-Tables, KSQL, distributed caching, containers, virtualization, and infrastructure as code is desirable.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Hazelcast, Redis, ELK, Grafana, or AppDynamics is desirable.
  • Exposure to C#, Angular, and React and experience developing enterprise-scale n-tier applications in the financial domain are desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership of a small or sizable developer team, hands-on development ability, systematic problem solving, effective communication, and a system-owner mindset.
