Responsibilities
- Design and build the backend runtime for Vinted’s agent platform on Kubernetes and AWS.
- Develop isolated sandboxes, coding harnesses, multi-step agent workflows, agent memory, and runtime management for agents and skills.
- Implement secure agent access to internal systems using identity, delegated user access, Okta, and MCP integrations.
- Build self-service capabilities that enable teams to create and run their own agents.
- Lead technical initiatives from concept through production, including RFCs, architecture decisions, reliability, and observability.
- Mentor engineers and participate in the on-duty rotation, currently approximately once every six weeks.
Requirements
- Proficiency in backend engineering and system design, preferably with Python, Ruby, Go, or Rust.
- Demonstrated experience designing, building, and scaling backend systems or internal platforms used by multiple teams.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and underlying infrastructure.
- Ability to make pragmatic architecture decisions focused on scalability and extensibility.
- Experience designing for authentication, authorization, least-privilege access, and auditing.
- Frequent use of AI coding tools and ability to support others in using them effectively.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience running LLM platforms in production, including agent development, MCP integrations, retrieval, or evaluations.
- Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, or similar infrastructure is a bonus.
