Responsibilities
- Develop platform capabilities that help Marketplace engineers build scalable systems.
- Investigate and improve system stability and performance.
- Advise engineers on building robust, highly available systems.
- Write code supporting more than 80M users and 10M requests per minute.
- Participate in an on-call rotation every 5–6 weeks.
Requirements
- Experience building and supporting large-scale applications.
- Strong understanding of how infrastructure and code work together.
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills for complex, cross-cultural collaboration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and master new technologies and concepts.
- Familiarity with and deep knowledge of relevant Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Data Structures and Algorithms disciplines according to seniority.
- Distributed systems, event-driven architecture, performance optimization, and monitoring experience are advantageous.
