
Senior Software Engineer — PingOne Platform Administration & Security

Responsibilities
- Participate in requirements definition, technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Design and develop backend services and APIs for PingOne Platform Administration.
- Contribute to MCP server capabilities, developer tools, and supporting AI-adjacent workflows.
- Partner with product managers, QA, UX, and peer engineering teams to deliver solutions.
- Help shape technical direction, engineering standards, and system design decisions.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and daily collaboration.
- Improve observability, reliability, maintainability, and deployment safety for team-owned services.
- Own features end-to-end while collaborating across backend, frontend, QA, product, and platform stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of professional software engineering experience as a senior-level individual contributor.
- At least 3 years of experience developing Java services.
- Strong backend software development experience building production-grade services.
- Experience developing Node.js services and SaaS applications.
- TypeScript experience is highly desired.
- Identity management experience is highly desired.
- Experience developing AI model tools and skills and MCP servers is highly desired.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and working with distributed systems.
- Familiarity with cloud-native development, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and production support.
- Ability to collaborate with product management, QA, UX, and engineering teams.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.
