Base Salary

$191k - $297k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Set technical direction and strategy for a 150+ person engineering organization and the Inventory Technology portfolio.
  • Architect and develop scalable event-driven, microservices-based systems for real-time inventory visibility, movement, traceability, and reverse logistics.
  • Lead and influence engineers, technology leaders, business stakeholders, and peer organizations on architecture and technical trade-offs.
  • Provide guidance across multiple teams, mentor senior engineers, and support engineering talent acquisition and retention.
  • Build proofs of concept and directly investigate complex technical problems rather than focusing only on high-level architecture.
  • Diagnose and resolve performance and security issues while improving reliability, recovery time, automation, and engineering productivity.
  • Apply agentic AI and Generative AI to inventory platforms, development workflows, data processing, and operational decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Highly proficient in Java and Python and highly experienced with AWS and/or GCP.
  • Hands-on experience with agentic AI systems; AWS Bedrock AgentCore experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience with DevOps, failure mitigation, time-to-recovery improvements, CI/CD tools such as GitLab, and containerization technologies.
  • Strong expertise in scalable architectural patterns, enterprise-grade security, telemetry, data science-enabled solutions, and big-data systems.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching engineers and solving complex engineering problems at scale.
  • Experience with supply chain or complex ecommerce domains is preferred; inventory management, warehouse management systems, or RFID tracking experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and a continuous improvement and quality mindset.
