Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, and debug secure, high-quality production software.
- Build and maintain Java services and React-based front-end visualizations on AWS cloud-native infrastructure.
- Drive adoption of approved AI-assisted coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and automation practices with validation standards.
- Identify and automate recurring issue remediation to improve application and system stability.
- Partner with product, security, data, and platform teams to deliver secure and compliant solutions.
- Own remediation of vulnerabilities, dependency upgrades, test coverage gaps, and other engineering hygiene issues.
- Contribute across the software development life cycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and operations.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and applied software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on Java software engineering experience and React or similar front-end visualization experience.
- Practical experience with AWS ECS, EKS, S3, Kubernetes, containers, and Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations in engineering workflows.
- Experience across design, development, testing, deployment, and operations in a large corporate environment.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, quality, and reliability skills.
- Preferred: Python experience for data processing, automation, and service integration.
- Preferred: Agile/Scrum expertise, including facilitating ceremonies, backlog hygiene, and flow-based execution.
- Preferred: Working knowledge of Snowflake data warehousing.
