Responsibilities
- Productize deep neural network training, compression, and evaluation workflows into reproducible, observable, and cost-efficient ML pipelines.
- Design and implement secure, well-bounded backend services, primarily using Python.
- Build frontends that expose pipelines and services to users.
- Own deployment and operations, including containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, and security posture.
- Make and document architectural decisions and critically review AI-generated code.
- Evaluate model size, latency, memory, and accuracy trade-offs in collaboration with the research team.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience building and running production software, including shipping systems designed independently.
- Broad experience across backends, data or ML pipelines, and infrastructure, with strong software architecture and cloud-platform knowledge.
- Practical experience training, fine-tuning, and running inference with PyTorch or TensorFlow, plus knowledge of modern ML tooling and pipeline architecture.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate model compression and optimization trade-offs and serve as a technical counterpart to research teams.
- Ability to use AI coding agents effectively and critically review their output.
- Security-first approach covering trust boundaries, secrets, dependencies, and software supply chain concerns.
- Fluent English and ability to work effectively in agile, dynamic, cross-functional teams.
- Preferred experience includes frontend and UX, model compression techniques, quantum computing concepts, formal security or compliance requirements, distributed training, GPU scheduling, or ML cost optimization.
