Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Partner with product managers, business analysts and stakeholders to clarify outcomes, shape product vision and develop architecture options.
- Produce high-level and low-level designs, architecture blueprints, technical decision records and implementation guidance.
- Design secure, scalable and reusable services, APIs, datastore patterns, integrations, UX-facing capabilities and common components.
- Work hands-on with engineering teams through prototyping, code review, pair design, design assurance and technical debt management.
- Select technologies, promote reuse, define development standards and help create common frameworks or accelerators.
- Participate in planning and estimation, maintain the architecture backlog and balance cost, risk, quality, security and time-to-market.
- Coordinate with architects, security, platform and engineering teams to align designs with enterprise standards.
- Apply AI-assisted and agentic engineering practices to improve delivery, quality, documentation, testing and developer productivity.
Requirements
- Strong architecture experience across cloud-native application, integration, data and security domains.
- Hands-on software engineering capability in at least one modern language, such as C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript or Python, with the ability to review production code.
- Practical experience with agentic AI coding tools and AI-assisted delivery workflows.
- Practical Azure experience covering compute, storage, networking, security, Azure Policy, Entra ID, RBAC, Key Vault and tenant-aware identity patterns.
- Experience with APIs, microservices, containers, Kubernetes, preferably AKS, and CI/CD or DevSecOps practices using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub.
- Ability to design access management, authentication and authorization patterns for users, services and platform integrations.
- Understanding of compliance, in-application security, secure-by-design patterns and enterprise technology standards.
- Experience designing for reusability, maintainability, observability, cost optimization and technical debt control.
- Clear communication skills for working with senior stakeholders, product teams, engineers and architects across distributed teams.
- Advanced conversational English and Spanish are essential and will be evaluated.
- Desirable qualifications include internal developer platform experience, reusable engineering assets, platform marketplace models, generative AI solution patterns, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt evaluation, automated testing, AI governance guardrails, enterprise UX, workflow automation, low-code/no-code capabilities, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer, TOGAF, SAFe or comparable certifications.
