Responsibilities
- Act as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for high-impact initiatives, overseeing project health and system design.
- Collaborate with Product Management and cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and manage dependencies.
- Lead architectural design, task breakdown, and execution planning for engineering teams.
- Establish reusable patterns and technical standards for platform development.
- Enhance engineering efficiency through improved tooling, automation, and documentation.
- Mentor engineers and elevate the quality of technical decision-making.
- Drive the adoption of AI tooling across the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in designing and operating large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong backend engineering experience with Python frameworks like FastAPI or Django.
- Experience leading technical design and architecture decisions for complex systems.
- Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases, including schema design and performance tuning.
- Experience with cloud-native systems using AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, observability, and operational excellence.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive alignment across teams.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset and ability to manage high-impact initiatives.
