Base Salary

$151k - $205k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own reliability, availability, and performance for critical PubTech services, including SLOs, SLAs, error budgets, and operational roadmaps.
  • Build automation frameworks, tooling, and self-healing mechanisms primarily using Python, Java, or Go.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and durable corrective actions for complex, high-severity incidents across the ad-serving pipeline.
  • Design monitoring, alarming, telemetry, and diagnostic solutions for complex distributed systems with real-time latency requirements.
  • Drive operational readiness reviews and embed reliability, observability, and operability standards into new services.
  • Develop runbooks and knowledge bases with software development teams.
  • Mentor engineers, including senior individual contributors, through design reviews, code reviews, and coaching.

Requirements

  • Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure.
  • Experience programming in at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Go, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline build processes.
  • Preferred: experience with distributed systems at scale.
