Base Salary
$110k - $120k/yr
Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of software development, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Build and evolve high-performance, usable, and scalable frontend applications using Next.js.
- Contribute to backend services using Node.js and NestJS to support APIs and workflows.
- Use object-oriented programming principles and modern JavaScript to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Architect systems for speed, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with design, product, backend, and underwriting teams to deliver user-centered features.
- Research, prototype, and evaluate tools and technologies to improve development workflows.
- Collaborate with a hybrid, globally distributed team using Slack, GitHub, shared documentation, and Zoom.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5+ years of experience building modern, scalable React-based web applications.
- Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and API design.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and modern JavaScript.
- Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience with AWS or cloud-based infrastructure.
- Experience with Next.js is a plus.
- Bonus experience with NestJS, WebSockets, Ruby on Rails, and/or Python.
