Responsibilities
- Improve the stability and testability of a large derivatives trading system.
- Investigate complex issues in custom software, database performance, and networked components.
- Implement and improve platform components, including testing frameworks, job orchestration, and build tooling.
- Implement and improve core system services and libraries.
- Implement business functionality across the trading system.
- Collaborate with developers across the stack, DevOps, business analysts, and business users.
Requirements
- Experienced software engineer with strong computer science fundamentals.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and task ownership skills.
- Experience with large C/C++ codebases.
- Some experience with C# and Python.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with Visual Studio and related tooling.
- Experience working in the Windows environment.
- Experience in capital markets within a large financial institution.
