Base Salary
$184k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy full-stack features end to end.
- Build systems from the ground up and expand the product surface area.
- Prototype quickly, evaluate hypotheses, and harden validated prototypes for enterprise-scale use.
- Make architectural decisions across multi-layer distributed systems with limited precedent.
- Ship code regularly to production while owning quality and reliability.
- Shape engineering practices and technical direction as an early senior technical voice.
- Support developer experiences that enable non-engineering contributors to work with AI-empowered tools safely.
- Collaborate with product, science, design, and business stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions.
Requirements
- Significant professional experience as a full-stack engineer with depth across front-end, back-end, databases, and deployment.
- Experience building systems from scratch and operating them at scale, including sound tradeoffs in distributed systems.
- Experience using agentic engineering tools and deploying AI-augmented software systems to production.
- Ability to work effectively with ambiguity, scope problems, and ship viable solutions quickly.
- Strong product instincts and commercial awareness.
- Effective collaboration skills with design, product, science, and business stakeholders.
- Experience in carbon, climate, or energy is a strong plus.
- Experience in regulated environments such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2 is a bonus.
- Experience building developer platforms, internal tooling, or safeguards for non-specialist contributors is a bonus.
