Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based on documented requirements.
- Create full-stack, end-to-end solutions in a fast-paced development and operational environment.
- Contribute to software and system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and COTS/GOTS evaluations.
- Perform requirements analysis and synthesis from the system level through individual software components.
- Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results.
- Identify system improvements and account for current architecture, operating environments, and future enhancements.
- Communicate ideas and status updates clearly to peers and management while collaborating with a small team.
Requirements
- 20+ years of experience as a Software Engineer supporting government contracts or similar environments.
- Experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems, including analytics, novel algorithms, large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems.
- Experience with software development and software design methodologies.
- Experience with Java, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and JIRA.
- Experience with OCI-compliant containers and container orchestration.
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, with eligibility for access to classified information.
- Bachelor’s degree, or a high school diploma and 24+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
- Preferred experience with Python 3.12, asyncio, pydantic, DevOps practices and tools, Atlassian products, Jira, and Confluence.
- Preferred knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, front-end build processes, and machine learning algorithms.
Benefits
- Projected compensation is $100.18 to $120.20 per hour.
- The position is located in Aurora, Colorado.
- The role includes eligibility for EverWatch’s salaries and benefits packages, with compensation determined by location, qualifications, experience, and contract requirements.
