Base Salary
$171k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain production-ready AI/ML services and pipelines using modular, tested, documented software and reliable deployment, monitoring, and performance practices.
- Develop advanced machine learning and deep learning models for cybersecurity, software, and technology infrastructure problems.
- Collaborate with partner teams to deploy AI/ML solutions into production.
- Drive firmwide initiatives by developing large-scale reusable frameworks and components for applying machine learning across business areas.
- Research and experiment with new machine learning methods through independent study, conferences, and implementation.
- Implement model governance, reproducible training and inference pipelines, CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, and deployment patterns for batch and real-time use cases.
Requirements
- Required: PhD or MSc in a quantitative discipline such as computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, operations research, optimization, or data science.
- Extensive experience with large language models and related tools and techniques, including LLM fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic systems, vector databases, LangChain, or LangGraph.
- Strong AI engineering, software engineering, and application-building skills for designing, deploying, and maintaining reliable AI systems.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning and deep learning methods and toolkits including TensorFlow, PyTorch, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, and Pandas.
- Experience designing experiments and training frameworks, evaluating model metrics, and working with big data and scalable model training.
- Strong analytical, scientific, communication, collaboration, learning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Preferred: strong mathematics and statistics background and familiarity with financial services.
- Preferred: A/B experimentation, data- and metric-driven product development, cloud-native deployment in large-scale distributed environments, published ML/DL/RL research, production-quality coding, continuous integration, and unit testing experience.
