Base Salary
$175k - $274k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, highly reliable software for safety-critical systems using functional safety and deep learning safety techniques.
- Collaborate with machine learning, hardware, and core software teams to keep data pipelines, models, and middleware within defined safety envelopes.
- Develop and optimize software for Linux and real-time operating systems.
- Create testing frameworks and validation strategies for reliability and safety in edge-case scenarios.
- Mentor junior engineers on safety-critical coding standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience focused on systems-level or embedded systems programming.
- Proficiency in C++, C, or Rust and strong understanding of embedded software architecture.
- Preferred qualifications include board bring-up, camera and LiDAR perception, formally certified safety-critical code, and practical experience with ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or ISO 13849.
- Experience with ROS 2, machine learning pipelines, Linux kernel configuration or module development, and QNX or similar real-time operating systems is preferred.
