Responsibilities
- Create APIs using web technologies to integrate agency applications and shared services.
- Develop database stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers in MS SQL and relational databases.
- Develop and maintain software security compliance using secured software methodologies.
- Prepare project plans, written project status reports, and technical reports describing proposed computer systems.
- Apply analytics, statistical analysis, simulation, optimization, quantitative research, and mathematical modeling to public-health and operational problems.
- Design, present, and implement user-friendly interfaces and provide practical, data-driven solutions.
Requirements
- A master's degree in an appropriate physical, biological, environmental, social science, public health, or related field is required; equivalent education and/or experience may qualify, subject to the stated minimums.
- For Assignment Level II and above, candidates need a doctorate plus one year of relevant experience, or a master's degree plus three years of relevant research experience, with the stated alternative of at least two years of qualifying experience for all candidates.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or .NET programming is preferred.
- Experience with statistical, simulation, and optimization tools and with quantitative research or mathematical modeling is preferred.
- Experience with C#, .NET, MVC, ADO.NET, web services and web APIs, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, Microsoft SQL, WPF, MVVM, XAML, PHP, ASP, .NET Core, SPAs, Telerik UI, Node.js, React, Azure web jobs, Logic Apps, Blob Storage, and Microsoft identity technologies is preferred.
- Knowledge of MongoDB, MS SQL, user-interface design, analytical and problem-solving methods, and data requirements for frontline use is preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, collaboration, customer-service, organization, discretion, and ability to manage multiple shifting priorities are required.
