Responsibilities
- Design and own the sandboxing and execution layer for RL environments.
- Develop systems to snapshot and restore environment states.
- Detect failure modes early in rollouts and revert to known-good states.
- Optimize performance characteristics like throughput and latency.
- Profile and remove bottlenecks across the execution stack.
- Build and maintain the framework for specifying and deploying RL environments.
- Scale prototypes into production systems with high engineering standards.
- Document and create tools for internal and external users.
Requirements
- Strong track record in building production systems or research infrastructure at scale.
- Deep understanding of systems layer, including containers and isolation.
- Experience in profiling, scheduling, and resource optimization.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms like GCP or AWS.
- Strong Python skills; familiarity with Rust, Go, or C++ is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with research teams.
