Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end quality for assigned projects and oversee release readiness, including final Go/No-Go decisions.
- Define quality roadmaps and automation strategies with Product and Engineering leadership.
- Review technical designs and Swagger/OpenAPI specifications for testability, edge cases, and integration risks.
- Design and execute complex frontend, backend, REST, and GraphQL test cases.
- Develop, maintain, and extend scalable UI and backend automation frameworks.
- Establish QA best practices, coding standards, code reviews, test plans, and comprehensive test suites.
- Generate automated test reports, identify quality risks, and track defects through resolution.
- Use AI-assisted tools for test authoring, debugging, root-cause analysis, log interpretation, and documentation.
- Promote automation-first testing and recommend ways to reduce manual testing effort.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
- 8–12 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, including quality leadership for complex distributed systems, microservices, and backend APIs.
- Experience designing and maintaining scalable frontend and backend test automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python.
- Hands-on manual and automated frontend testing with Playwright.
- Experience testing REST and/or GraphQL APIs using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or Locust.
- Experience owning continuous testing within CI/CD and applying software development lifecycle, code review, code coverage, continuous testing, and delivery practices.
- Experience managing the full release cycle from test scoping through final release decisions.
- Experience creating service-level test plans, authoring test cases, executing tests, and following QA best practices.
- Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Strong experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Git, TestRail, and Jira.
- Proactive experience using AI-powered tools such as Augment, Cursor, and Gemini for test authoring, debugging, and documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to work independently in fast-paced Agile teams.
- Performance and load testing experience is preferred.
