Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to uncover high-value opportunities, understand workflows, and translate business needs into technical direction.
- Architect and build production AI systems involving multi-agent workflows, orchestration, tool use, context engineering, memory and state, retrieval-augmented generation, APIs, data pipelines, integrations, and distributed systems.
- Lead solutions from discovery through deployment and measurable client impact.
- Own evaluation, observability, security, reliability, latency, scalability, and cost for delivered systems.
- Build trust with senior engineers, business executives, and enterprise stakeholders while navigating ambiguity and challenging assumptions constructively.
- Help establish operating processes and playbooks for the initial Forward-Deployed Engineering team.
Requirements
- Typically 8+ years of experience building and operating sophisticated production software systems.
- Expertise in Python, backend systems, APIs, databases, distributed systems, system design, and cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience building production LLM and agent systems using orchestration, tool use, context engineering, memory and state, retrieval, and multistep workflows.
- Experience building and improving production retrieval systems, including embeddings, vector and hybrid search, reranking, evaluation, and retrieval-quality diagnosis.
- Track record of owning complex systems from architecture through deployment and scale, with practical knowledge of evaluation, observability, reliability, security, guardrails, latency, scalability, and cost.
- Exceptional customer-facing communication, business acumen, technical leadership, and ability to work effectively with senior engineers and business executives.
- Ability to enter unfamiliar environments, earn trust quickly, navigate ambiguity, communicate clearly, and remain calm under pressure.
- Must currently be based in Bengaluru or Hyderabad.
