Base Salary

$116k - $185k/yr

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and integrate embedded software and associated components for software and hardware systems in audio products.
Develop Linux-based embedded software using Yocto, hardware drivers, embedded applications, audio and control networking, and related protocols.
Contribute to product architecture, software design, implementation, task estimation, organization, and documentation.
Model real-time system designs and use cases with UML or similar methodologies.
Review peer engineers’ designs and code and perform unit, integration, and system testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and debug embedded systems and hardware.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering; a master’s degree is a plus.
At least 5 years of relevant experience.
Experience with embedded Linux, hardware/software platforming, and Yocto is desired.
Demonstrated C++ and/or C programming experience with object-oriented design, analysis, and programming.
Experience designing software with Ethernet, IP, and TCP/UDP networking protocols; network security and protocol exposure is a plus.
Understanding of operating system concepts, embedded development environments, and real-time operating systems.
Experience with embedded system architectures, development environments, debugging, software version control, and release processes.
Hardware driver development and hardware debugging exposure is a plus.
Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, attention-to-detail, and quality-consciousness skills.
