Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and integrate embedded software and associated components for audio products.
- Develop software involving wireless protocols, hardware drivers, embedded applications, audio and control networking, and related protocols.
- Contribute to product architecture, software design, implementation, and real-time system modeling.
- Estimate, organize, document, review, and implement software development tasks.
- Perform unit, integration, and system testing, and review peer engineers’ designs and code.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and cross-functional development teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering; a master’s degree is a plus.
- Five or more years of requisite experience.
- Experience with wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or other protocols is desired.
- Demonstrated proficiency in C++ and/or C, object-oriented design, analysis, and programming.
- Experience with networking protocols including Ethernet, IP, and TCP/UDP; network security exposure is a plus.
- Understanding of operating system concepts, embedded development environments, and real-time operating systems such as Embedded Linux, FreeRTOS, or VxWorks.
- Experience with embedded system architectures, development environments, debugging, software version control, and release processes.
- Hardware driver development and hardware debugging exposure is a plus.
- Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, attention-to-detail, and quality-focused skills.
