Base Salary
$87k - $187k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs and applications.
- Develop code for test infrastructure and connectivity.
- Test customer systems and assigned server products.
- Perform software downloads and installations.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues to maintain product performance.
- Coordinate with engineering groups to develop and implement test plans.
- Provide technical support to the production floor.
- Drive and influence design and process changes for assigned products.
- Document test procedures, issue resolutions, and test results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area is required.
- At least three years of software engineering or related experience is required.
- Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Five or more years of software development experience is preferred.
- Experience with Python, TCL, SQL, C, C++, JavaScript, Perl, and shell scripting is preferred.
- Experience with Linux, UNIX, or Solaris, including system administration, is preferred.
- Experience developing automated test software for server systems and writing test cases to verify software quality is preferred.
- Basic understanding of computer architecture and hardware components is preferred.
- Experience with networking and connectivity, hardware testing, software downloads and installations, troubleshooting, documentation, and product development life cycles is preferred.
- Database experience is a plus but not required.
