Responsibilities
- Design and implement clean, modular, scalable, and testable Java backend code.
- Develop new application features and improve the architecture, performance, scalability, and resilience of the existing product.
- Conduct performance analysis and profiling for backend systems and databases.
- Apply advanced testing and debugging methods to resolve complex software issues.
- Collaborate with local and distributed teams in an Agile environment to enhance product functionality.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on backend software development experience with in-depth knowledge of Java and JDK.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and core software engineering principles.
- Experience designing and implementing high-performance, multithreaded, state-driven systems.
- Proficiency creating automated tests with JUnit and applying advanced testing and debugging techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of relational databases, including Postgres, and ORM technologies such as Hibernate and JPA.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, independent work, and collaboration skills.
- Communicative English proficiency.
- Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject; REST API experience with JAX-RS or Spring; at least 2 years with Angular or similar frontend frameworks; Playwright or Cypress experience; and mentoring, coaching, or leadership experience.
