Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into user stories and deliver functionality iteratively through production.
- Develop and support high-impact platforms and products used by global colleagues and customers.
- Own product support according to the principle that the team builds and supports its software.
- Design solutions aligned with technology guidelines and constraints.
- Identify and reduce technical debt while balancing improvements with new functionality.
- Pair with engineers to improve design quality, share knowledge, and accelerate delivery.
- Help improve how the team builds, tests, releases, and supports software.
Requirements
- Demonstrable hands-on experience with at least one programming language and willingness to learn multiple languages.
- Experience with Java and JavaScript, including client-side and server-side development, is strongly aligned with the current stack.
- Working knowledge of Unix environments.
- Solid understanding of databases from a consumer perspective and how applications interact with data stores.
- Knowledge of HTTP APIs, such as RESTful APIs.
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively in English.
- A flexible, curious, practical approach to experimentation and learning.
