Responsibilities
- Provide strategic technical guidance and set direction for digital product development in alignment with business priorities.
- Define tasks and drive medium-to-large initiatives at the product or product-line level.
- Lead or coach team members, mentor colleagues, and foster technical growth.
- Align stakeholders and engineering efforts with mid- to long-term organizational goals.
- Provide global-level support for technical initiatives and share knowledge through events, Centers of Excellence, site activities, publications, and presentations.
- Apply expertise in software operations, performance tuning, scalability, cybersecurity practices, software validation, quality management, and developer productivity.
- Establish Roche-wide best practices from code through production and improve operational excellence.
Requirements
- Proven experience driving cross-functional collaboration to solve organization-wide technical problems and align disparate engineering efforts.
- Deep expertise in software operations, performance tuning, scalability, cybersecurity best practices, and modern software development tooling.
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate technical challenges and establish organization-wide engineering practices.
- Ability to remove obstacles for technical teams, advocate for code quality and operational excellence, and improve software validation and quality management.
- Essential technical skills: MLOps, Docker, and Kubernetes.
