Responsibilities
- Build scalable and reliable data systems while maintaining SLOs for business-critical pipelines.
- Partner with Product, Sales Ops, Finance, and other internal teams to deliver high-impact data solutions.
- Support self-service tooling and foster a data-driven culture across Pantheon.
- Contribute to the technical strategy and operations of Pantheon’s data platform.
- Improve data architecture, testing, pipeline reliability, documentation, and engineering practices.
- Stay current with trends and technologies in data engineering, analytics, and modern data platforms.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience building production services and features, ideally including data engineering.
- Ability to build maintainable components in Python and/or Go.
- Experience with SQL, relational databases such as MySQL and Postgres, and data warehouses such as Snowflake and BigQuery.
- Experience with containerization such as Docker and OCI, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with modern data stack tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and Looker.
- Understanding of distributed data systems, large-scale data processing, throughput and latency trade-offs.
- Ability to integrate automated test coverage and validation into deployment pipelines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience building data pipelines for artificial intelligence and machine learning is a plus.
