Responsibilities
- Develop and execute system test plans for distributed system components, including scheduling, memory, I/O paths, and platform services.
- Validate functionality, data consistency, and multi-tenant behavior across varied scenarios.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases using Python and Pytest and improve existing automation frameworks.
- Execute performance, scalability, reliability, and stability tests and evaluate throughput and latency.
- Analyze logs, metrics, and monitoring data to identify issues and support debugging and defect resolution.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, DevOps, and cross-functional teams to understand features, reproduce issues, and verify fixes.
- Document test cases, results, automation workflows, defects, test coverage, and validation reports.
- Contribute to improved QA processes, validation strategies, and testing best practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience with strong Python proficiency for test automation.
- Proven experience developing comprehensive test automation suites for complex systems.
- Hands-on experience with Pytest, unittest, Robot Framework, or similar test automation frameworks.
- Ability to own and deliver test automation features in fast-paced environments.
- Understanding of testing challenges and solutions for distributed storage systems.
- Experience integrating automated testing with CI/CD pipelines.
- Advanced Linux skills, including networking, filesystems, and block storage.
- Familiarity with containerized testing environments and Docker.
- Preferred experience validating large-scale data platforms, storage engines, distributed scheduling systems, data platforms, storage systems, or backend infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Grafana and Prometheus, and knowledge of API testing using REST or GraphQL.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent knowledge is a plus.
