Responsibilities

Solve the hardest technical problems across engineering squads by writing and shipping production code.
Jointly own C1 Platform Foundation architecture, including event bus, plugin lifecycle, multi-tenancy, RBAC, and schema registry decisions.
Create pattern-setting reference implementations and establish technical direction through shipped code.
Unblock and train engineers by providing hands-on technical guidance and implementation support.
Work across distributed systems, real-time audio, browser internals, AI pipelines, and high-throughput data models.
Use AI-assisted development for code generation, refactoring, test scaffolding, debugging, and product development.

12+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
Fluency in at least seven programming languages across a career, with mandatory senior-level Go experience and expected Python and TypeScript experience.
Experience across multiple technologies, industries, and architectural eras.
Deep production experience with distributed-system concerns including state management, race conditions, locking, contention, ordering, and back-pressure.
Experience with multiple messaging systems and database types, including relational, key-value, document, columnar, and graph databases.
Experience with at least two cloud platforms, with GCP strongly preferred as the deeply experienced cloud.
Strong knowledge of LLMs, SLMs, RAG, knowledge graphs, agents, training, fine-tuning, and evaluation, plus hands-on experience building AI-powered features.
Exceptional troubleshooting and debugging ability, including reading unfamiliar code, stack traces, and flame graphs.
Ability to solve complex problems quickly, establish patterns through implementation, and raise the technical level of other engineers.
Interest in an individual-contributor role focused on owning difficult technical problems rather than managing a squad.
