Responsibilities
- Develop product-stream sorting systems that incorporate user signals.
- Build and enhance high-traffic APIs with minimal latency.
- Manage extensive data volumes using Google BigQuery and integrate with Business Intelligence systems and the data platform.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and analysts to improve functionality and launch new features.
- Take deep ownership of products and propose and implement improvement ideas.
- Maintain code quality through well-structured, efficient, and maintainable software development.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building scalable APIs using technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Go.
- Recent practical experience with a typed programming language such as TypeScript.
- Strong knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in an English-speaking and agile environment.
- Preferred experience with Datadog for centralized logging, monitoring, and alerting.
- Preferred hands-on experience with AWS or GCP and orchestration services such as Dagster or Airflow.
- Preferred experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
- Preferred experience building data models with dbt.
- Preferred experience running data-processing pipelines using distributed data-processing frameworks.
- Experience with machine learning models or LLM-based systems is a plus.
