Sr. Principal Firmware Engineer

Responsibilities
- Develop firmware for embedded processors in audio and wireless audio SoCs.
- Create core operating-system and driver components for custom systems.
- Work with hardware teams to specify mixed-signal SoCs and address processor-controlled elements.
- Write, test, and debug code through finished silicon and SDK package delivery.
- Support integrated systems containing audio codecs, amplifiers, battery chargers, DSP processors, peripherals, power controls, and communication interfaces.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to solve difficult technical problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 15+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 12+ years of experience.
- 10+ years of programming experience with C and assembly in deeply embedded systems.
- 6+ years of experience with real-time operating systems.
- 3+ years of experience with or exposure to Python preferred.
- ARM Cortex-M experience preferred.
- Experience with security, secure boot, and cryptographical algorithms and methods preferred.
- USB, SPI, I2C, I2S, and Bluetooth experience is a plus.
- Experience working with electrical hardware interfacing preferred.
- Working knowledge of the JTAG debug interface.
- Experience with ARC architecture desirable.
- Understanding of RTL and simulation tools is a plus.
