Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop secure, cloud-based solutions that support regulatory needs and improve dealer and customer experiences.
- Use programming languages, databases, container orchestration services, and AWS tools to build and operate software.
- Provide technical leadership across engineering teams, including setting design, development, and operational standards.
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks with architects.
- Identify improvement opportunities, refactor systems, reduce technical debt, and improve performance.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and influence long-term technology strategy in a you-build-it-you-own-it environment.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 7+ years coding in multiple listed languages, database experience, cloud experience, open-source contributions, front-end framework experience, API development, CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code experience, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, AI coding tools, mentoring, observability, and technical initiative leadership.
- Experience establishing coding standards and design patterns across engineering teams is preferred.
