Responsibilities
- Provide second-level support for identifying, troubleshooting, and communicating enterprise application and environment problems.
- Gather performance and availability metrics and investigate root causes of incidents.
- Identify process improvements and investigate tools that reduce triage time and improve support results.
- Perform application deployments and new server build-outs.
- Support environment validation tasks and participate in on-call rotations.
- Oversee small projects as an individual contributor and team member.
- Prioritize issues for resolution, holding, or escalation while balancing project work with interrupt-driven support tasks.
Requirements
- Require 3 to 6+ years of experience in production support, site reliability, or related application support work.
- Require a B.E. or MCA degree.
- Demonstrated experience with Unix scripting and supporting applications on WebSphere, Windows IIS, or Tomcat.
- Experience troubleshooting enterprise web applications and configuration issues in Unix/Linux environments.
- Working knowledge of AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Datadog, Splunk, and Python.
- Experience with ITIL processes, including incident management and change management.
- Strong root-cause analysis, problem-solving, troubleshooting, prioritization, communication, facilitation, and follow-through skills.
- Preferred knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, OpenTofu, F5, AVI, and uDeploy.
- Ability to work different shifts, participate in on-call rotations, adapt to change, multitask, and learn new technologies.
