Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate monetization metrics, logs, and traces using Prometheus and Grafana.
- Implement automated detection and alert routing for billing, data, and event anomalies.
- Develop reconciliation and data integrity checks across usage and billing pipelines.
- Define and track SLOs and SLIs, write runbooks, and participate in incident handling.
- Explore artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to predict anomalies and accelerate issue resolution.
- Review merge requests and provide technical feedback to Monetization engineers.
- Collaborate with Product, Finance, Support, and other partners to build reliable operational tooling.
- Own projects from concept through production, including proposal, execution, and monitoring.
Requirements
- Professional experience with Ruby on Rails.
- Experience in site reliability or observability engineering, including monitoring, alerting, SLOs, SLIs, runbooks, incident handling, Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
- Experience building anomaly detection, monitoring, or risk management tooling.
- Experience with reporting and insights data stores, especially ClickHouse, and change data capture or event-streaming pipelines such as NATS JetStream.
- Experience with billing, financial, or other business-critical systems.
- Working knowledge of Python for anomaly detection and data work is relevant additional experience.
- Experience with Zuora or Salesforce is relevant additional experience.
- Strong English communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical, architectural, and organizational issues in a remote, largely asynchronous environment.
