Responsibilities

Containerize the monolith and make the code changes needed to modernize deployment and scaling workflows
Execute integrations between Bitstamp’s backend and Robinhood’s global infrastructure
Implement backend improvements that increase platform performance and reduce operational toil through automation
Own complex projects from design through deployment with limited supervision
Collaborate cross-functionally to interpret technical requirements and improve engineering processes
Participate in on-call support to troubleshoot difficult issues and maintain platform reliability

4–5+ years of relevant backend engineering experience
Strong experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
Advanced knowledge of backend engineering disciplines and practical experience with AWS services
Experience modernizing legacy architectures and managing end-to-end technical projects
Ability to work autonomously, coordinate across job areas, and solve complex problems
Strong communication and stakeholder-influence skills, including the ability to guide and coach colleagues
Practical knowledge of project management and complex administrative and technical logistics
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation

Hybrid work in the London office with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week
On-call rotation participation is required
