Base Salary
$180k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship production-ready UI components from design specs.
- Develop and maintain a living design system with component libraries and documentation.
- Prototype novel interactions and data visualizations for product proposals.
- Implement high-fidelity features like map interfaces and radar overlays.
- Build tooling and automation to enhance the design-to-development workflow.
- Iterate on implementations based on operator feedback and performance insights.
- Conduct user research to inform technical design decisions.
- Establish and enforce accessibility and performance optimization standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product design, UI/UX engineering, or front-end design engineering.
- Strong front-end engineering skills in HTML, CSS/Tailwind, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Deep proficiency in Figma for managing component libraries and design consistency.
- Strong visual design foundation in typography, color, layout, and hierarchy.
- Fluency in UX principles and ability to translate complex workflows into intuitive interfaces.
- Experience designing geospatial or map-based interfaces with layered data visualizations.
- Comfort with iterative processes and incorporating user feedback into designs.
