Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software solutions.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets to identify patterns and improve software applications, coding hygiene, and system architecture.
- Apply software development lifecycle knowledge and support scalable, stable, and resilient technology solutions.
- Guide peers on safe and effective use of AI-assisted engineering tools within team practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, operational stability, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment.
- Experience with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and evaluating, validating, and refining their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills and overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Preferred exposure to SLOs, metrics, health checks, error budgets, distributed tracing, Terraform, large-scale infrastructure deployments, and MySQL, Cassandra, Kafka, CockroachDB, or Oracle.
