Base Salary
$140k - $217k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build Python backend services and APIs connecting LLMs with enterprise security data.
- Develop LLM features using prompt engineering, structured outputs, tool and function calling, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, and vector search.
- Build and extend agent workflows that retrieve information, call tools, and recover from failures.
- Create evaluations, automated tests, and monitoring for accuracy, latency, cost, and reliability.
- Build connectors for vulnerability scanners, identity systems, and asset inventories.
- Prototype AI capabilities, use AI coding agents, and participate in code and design reviews.
- Own scoped features from design through production while increasing ownership over time.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of software engineering experience or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong Python programming skills and solid software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, APIs, testing, and debugging.
- Hands-on experience building or integrating LLM-powered applications in production or substantial projects.
- Experience calling at least one frontier model API or SDK, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google.
- Working knowledge of APIs, databases, and cloud-native development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience includes AWS, Azure, GCP, containers, CI/CD, AI evaluation, observability, guardrails, vector databases, search, security domains, or open-source contributions.
